Nice. Good collection and presentation.
thank you 🙂
Fantastic picures, I have the same enthusiasm for old photos, forever scouring antique/junk shops for interesting images. Sometimes its quite sad when you come across an album of family images and realise that a whole life is captured and never to be seen by the family members. Now following and will return.
i know what you mean, we always think that when we buy at auctions! Thank you for stopping by!
Wow, I just love the idea behind this blog! And it makes me so happy to see these photos. I’m from India myself, and my father used to be an avid photography enthusiast, passing the interest on to me. With his help I have preserved many old photos taken over generations, and would love to share a few with you if you’re interested.

The bird seller– definitely!
He is one of my favorites too! I would love to be able to pick his brain to know what his life was like!
I see images like this and CAN’T even imagine what life was once like 🙂
I loved all of them! The birdseller was particularly compelling for me, for some reason.
I really liked that old guy too! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Lovely pictures. Thanks a mil. My grandmother was born in Jowrah. (I think it is spelled Jaura now). her father, my great-grandfather worked for Rao Scindia, the Maharadjah of Gwalior. I have a few pics I need to dig up.
